Hi! My name is Kristin Tkac and I am from Auburn Alabama! I am married to my best friend Brandon Tkac and we have two daughters, Henley and Reese we are so excited to be a part of The Pound family!! Growing up I loved playing sports, when I was younger I played everything I could including soccer, softball, and basketball. Basketball was always my favorite and I played throughout high school. After I graduated from Auburn High I went on to attend Troy University where I got my undergraduate degree in Communication. While in college, I was a part of a program called Campus Outreach, and I loved playing intramural sports.

My first experience with functional fitness was in Mobile with some girlfriends. I left mobile and my first gym home when Brandon and I got married - We moved to Birmingham and in 2021 I finally decided I needed to prioritize my health and mental state again and I found Taylor’s original program! I instantly fell in love with her, my morning crew, and the workouts! I knew that coaching with Taylor was something I wanted to do and that if given the chance I would want to learn and grow with her - Now I am at The Pound and I couldn’t be more excited and honored for this opportunity!! I am excited to learn and grow and to be a part of this amazing gym family, this place truly is home and I couldn’t be more excited!!

My desire to coach is simple: I want to love others, meet them where they are,  and help them achieve things physically and mentally they never thought possible! I truly believe that anyone can do what we do at The Pound and I want to help people who feel they can’t see that they can! The gym is not just about a physical journal but a mental journey as well. I want people to walk into our gym and know that they are loved, accepted, and cared for by our team. A gym is about finding a community where when you’re having a great day, you can come to be that encourager for others, but when you’re having a bad day you can come and be encouraged! I want to lift people and I know that coaching is a way I can play a part in someone’s life.
